Strengthening Community Ties: Catholic Charities Joins the Pajaro Valley Collaborative

Catholic Charities Diocese of Monterey (CCDOM) have partnered with the Pajaro Valley Collaborative (PVC)—a powerful network of local nonprofits and public institutions all working together to create lasting change in the Pajaro Valley.

PVC isn’t just another organization. It’s a collective impact initiative focused on improving the health, economic mobility, and civic engagement of our communities. Their mission says it all: “Caring for our Community: Choosing People over Politics.” And that’s a vision we wholeheartedly stand behind.

As a faith-based agency committed to uplifting people throughout Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito, and San Luis Obispo counties, CCDOM brings decades of experience in social services—everything from legal immigration support and disaster relief to nutrition education and family stabilization. By joining PVC, we’re stepping into a collaborative space where our work can go even further, hand-in-hand with other organizations that share our values.

This partnership is especially meaningful for our efforts in Watsonville and nearby areas, where we’ll now be more deeply involved in coordinated services and grassroots outreach. We believe that true impact happens when communities come together—and that’s exactly what this partnership is all about.
